Iphone Ringtonestudio

Got an Iphone and want some new kick ass tunes, well it may have been some time since apple added the ability to create custom Iphone ringtones in Itunes, and yes whilst this is a major step forward it does have 2 limitations. First you can only create ringtones from content you have bought, which is suppose is kind of fair, second you need to pay 99 cents for each customer ringtone you make, Doesn’t sound a lot but it will soon add up read on and we can show you how to make the same ringtone quickly and easily.

Enter PocketMac’s RingtoneStudio this nifty little piece of software allows you to make your own ringtone from almost any audio or video file on your Mac’s hard drive and even better its so easy to use.The only limitation is that the files must not be DRM protected (the downside to Itunes). To create your own customer ringtone is easy simply drag and drop a song, sound or video (even quicktime compatible video) file onto the ringtone studio window, testing this functionality we managed to convert a wide array of files quickly and easily. The only real limitation was the DRM-protected files (more on that later)

Once you have dragged your media file onto the application then PocketMac Ringtone Studio for iPhone allows you to crop the source into a much smaller file which can easily be transfered to your Iphone. The PocketMac's cropping tool allows you to grab just the right section of audio for your personal ringtone. Depending on the length of your ringtone you will get different options if the sample is less than 30 seconds long then Ringtone studio will automatically converts the whole file into and iphone ringtone and places it neatly in your Itunes ringtone collection. If the sample is longer than 30 seconds then you get the option to clip out which ever 30 second section you wnat, again once selected the ringtones will be placed in Itunes, hopefully in a later version you will be able to clip longer and shorter lengths but as limitations go it wont casuse you too many issues.

The limitation of not being able to convert DRM-protected songs may prove a major issue if most of the music on your hard drive has been purchased from Itunes . But if you have plenty of good non protected music or videos then you can easily soon create a rather impressive range of ringtones for your iphone

Typical Uses for Reverse Phone Lookup Directories

Mobile | Thursday July 30 2009 12:41 am | Comments (0)

Do you remember when everyone had land lines and all you had to do to figure out a number was open the phone book? It seems like forever ago, but in today’s world things are a little different. Phone books are almost obsolete due to the fact that many people aren’t spending the extra money on land lines when they can have cell phones with all the same features. Then of course those who do have phones at home have unlisted numbers.

Even with the widespread use of caller ID on most home phones, some numbers may come up without an identifying name and there are ways for callers to block their details from appearing. Reverse cell number search services have stepped up to these changing demands to provide a very useful service to modern phone users. There are two common functions for these services…

#1. Finding Names

If you are receiving calls from someone and only a number comes up on your ID, or you need to figure out cell phone callers, reverse telephone number search services can help you find out the name listed to the number in question. Just by entering the number you will be able to identify the person who is initiating the calls of concern.

You will often see parents utilize a reverse phone lookup service when they notice a specific number that keeps calling your teenager. Then of course those other instances when a spouse is getting odd calls. It’s hard to bring it up for some, but it’s one of the biggest reasons why RPLs are used.

A reverse phone lookup directory is also used when you do find a name, but the home number is unpublished. So the next time you find a number and can’t remember who it belongs to, use a reverse phone lookup directory.

#2. Address Location

The other major use for a reverse phone lookup is to locate an address for someone. You don’t need to know their name, but just the number. You’ll realize that after you’ve input the number, there will be additional information that comes from the RPL. It might be a land line number available, the address, past history of residences, and several other benefits.

This may not be a common need for some people, but it does have its uses in some situations. Such as a parent in a rush to track down a teenager who has run away or is still out well past curfew. If they can find phone numbers from the teenager’s bedroom or cell phone a lookup directory could quickly uncover addresses and names of places the child may be located.

Other circumstances may be looking for addresses to mail out party invitations to your child’s friends. If you have a phone number you can get their address and get the invite in the mail without calling and tracking down other busy parents.

This service has grown so much since inception where now you can even find a site that can give you a map of where a home or business is located, or income brackets and full address history.

There will be a small charge for any relevant reverse cell lookup directory, but if your business or personal life requires particular data it is money well spent in the long run.

The fee is unavoidable because this variety of information is not easy or free to research, compile, and save, so dispensing it on demand to consumers such as you must also collect a charge to make up for these operational expenditures.

One thing to understand is there probably won’t ever be a phone book for cell phone numbers. Since blocking was already in place and the Internet helps everyone, they simply aren’t needed.

If you do not want to pay for single number display’s there are sites out there that you can pay a marginal fee and use the directory as needed, so that you are not confined to one number at a time.

Determine Who is Contacting You

Mobile | Wednesday July 29 2009 8:08 am | Comments (0)

Have you ever had a phone call that came up as unlisted? These are probably the most irritating calls, because you don’t know who it is and many times you won’t answer it. Then of course that time you decide to pick it up, it’s some creditor or someone trying to sell you something.

Years ago you wouldn’t have had a chance to get the low down on these anonymous people. However, thanks to today’s technology you can take advantage of reverse cell phone number lookup services to help you along the way. This makes it so much easier to identify the individuals who are calling.

Finding Out the Identity of Anyone, Anywhere

Once you start using one of these reverse lookup systems, everything will start to make sense. Even though many people use them to look up old friends, relatives, and colleagues, others utilize them for business purposes. Everything is being tracked and if they have access to your digits, then anyone on the Internet could figure out your number.

Regardless of the kind of number, you may learn who the number belongs to as well as that person’s address if you have their phone number. This is because unlisted phone numbers aren’t completely blocked from the public. Rather, an unlisted number is just one that isn’t listed in your local telephone book.

Just keep in mind that this always means they are harder to come across. Granted, you can pay additional fees with your local telephone company, but why spend the money each month when you don’t need to at all. Then again, cell phone companies give you a harder time, but it’s still a helpful process.

You can use the free versions, but most reverse phone number websites offer more features with the premium packages. Some sites will give you a month by month bill, others will allow you to pay up to a year, and some will even give you lifetime prices. The only thing you have to do is figure out if this fits into your budget.

Seriously though, once you take advantage of these reverse phone lookup systems they will allow you to find anyone. One thing to note here is that they aren’t going to give you any kind of GPS tracking, but it’s helpful to know that you can get addresses, past work history, and just about anything you need to take this adventure to the next level.

Even though one caller can punch in a code that gives them a private listing, you have the ability to do just the opposite. In fact, if you enter your own code it can alleviate the issue all together.

Obtaining Information with Reverse Phone Lookups

Once you have the telephone number of the person that is attempting to contact you, you may determine precisely who they are and where they live. This information can come in handy in a number of ways. If you are receiving troublesome phone calls, for example, you can use this information to assist you in stopping the calls.

Also, having the phone numbers in front of you will allow a little more research on the Internet. When you have all the information needed, you will be able to make the proper choice about whether or not to call them back. However, there are other areas to think about as well like the business arena.

However, most people simply use these to figure out where harassing calls are coming from everyday. Then of course it’s another great way to show you new numbers of the old one you may have from years past. See, reverse phone sites can tell you a phone number your best friend had from 10 years ago.

Best of all you don’t have to drive down to the municipal building in order to get a hold of these records. Having the help of a reverse phone lookup membership will allow you to do it right from your own home.

The Best Cell Phone Look Up Method Guaranteed

Mobile | Tuesday July 28 2009 1:36 am | Comments (0)

Are you bothered by unwanted telemarketing calls coming in to your cell phone?. It is quite simple to stop annoying calls from coming in to your cell phone. Here is how it is done.

There is new technology found on the internet where you can learn how. It is simple to use and completely legal. You can trace phone numbers from the privacy of your home computer or laptop and it is very confidential. It is called reverse phone search. It is also called phone number reverse search-but it is all the same thing.

Here’s how phone number reverse search works.

This technology allows you to look up information on callers with just their phone number. It can be done with both cell phone numbers and land line numbers.

The procedure is simple just input the phone number in a search field, click on the enter button and let the magic of modern technology take over. In a few short seconds the results will be returned that shows there is available the kind of background information you want from that number.

The type of information you will get back includes: the name of the person the number belongs to, their address and sometimes the names of family members and their background. There are some services that will even tell you if the person has had any criminal activity. If it is a company number , some services will reveal the name of the company.

Imagine how valuable that information can be if you are looking up people that deal with your children or someone that you are dating. It can also help you identify unknown numbers showing up on a spouses phone or learn which companies are sending you spam text messages or making nuisance recorded calls.

Now, there are some things to look for in choosing a company to help you with phone number reverse search. There are several companies available today that have this technology. But these companies vary greatly in what the offer and how effective their technology is.

You want a technology that:

Offers information that is current—so you don’t end up with the person who owned the phone several owners ago.

Offers confidentiality—you don’t want the person or company to know you are checking up on them.

Offers a guarantee—the most reputable companies offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

Offers a one-time fee to use the service as much as possible—some companies charge you every time you do a reverse phone number search. You want a company that charges a one-time fee and you can search as many times as you desire for a whole year.

When you search for a company like this there are those that offer to use their service for free. But be cautious, free servicesare very limited. You will want to question how current their information is. You should also look into how they will handle your confidentiality.

To get what you want out of this kind of service you really have to pay a fee. But the fees are usually small and completely worth it if you receive the kind of information you want.

You can look for cell phone reverse search companies on your own, or save time by taking a look at this cell phone reverse search company (that is reviewed here) which meets all the above criteria. You can even take a sample test with their service. They allow you to input a phone number for free. After a second or two wait they will come back with information revealing if they have results on that number or not. If they do, then you have to pay to get the detailed information. But at least you know you will be paying to get what you want.

The 6 Most Awesome FREE iPhone Apps

Mobile | Monday July 27 2009 3:08 am | Comments (0)

The iPhone alone is an amazing device. But it is Apple’s App Store that’s made the iPhone truly revolutionary, by giving thousands of independent developers the ability extend and transform the device with their creativity for a fee of course.

Not even half a year old, the store has surpassed a milestone of 10,000 pieces of software available. Since the beginning however, the App Store has been charging for every little app it can. However, you can now get unlimited iPhones apps here for no monthly fees at all just pay one low fee once.

But today, we’ve plucked out a list of 6 apps — from mapping software to games — that deserve applause for their quality, innovation and breakthrough achievements but most of all they are FREE.

6. Stanza

A book reader that grabs free titles from public domains, Stanza has soared in popularity — making the iPhone a worthy competitor to Amazon’s Kindle. And if those free books aren’t enough, Stanza recently expanded to incorporate a store to purchase commercial titles. The app did a good job pleasing Wired.com’s Charlie Sorrel, who modified his Moleskine notebook so he could embed his iPod touch in it. He could be reading e-books in an cafe and instead of exuding an aura of geekiness he can instead display an aura of artsiness.)

5. SayWhere

You get used to typing on the iPhone after some time, but punching in addresses to look up directions is by far the biggest drag. DialDirections was the first to introduce speech-recognition capabilities to the iPhone with SayWhere, which translates users’ speech into queries for Google Maps, Yelp, Traffic or Yellow Pages. It’s a nifty app, especially for keeping drivers’ eyes on the road rather than the iPhone’s virtual keyboard.

4. Shazam

Everyone’s familiar with this scenario: You hear a really catchy, unfamiliar song on the radio and you have no idea what it’s called. You hum it to yourself repeatedly and attempt to memorize the lyrics, only to forget it after slamming a few shots at the bar. Shazam will never leave you struggling to recollect these thoughts again: Hold the iPhone up to a speaker playing the unknown tune and the app will identify it — album, artist and song title — just like that.

3. TapTapRevenge

You’d have to be living on a different planet (or a retirement home) if you haven’t heard of Guitar Hero, the game that gets players to twitch their fingers compulsively along with the beat of their favorite songs. Developer Tapulous took the same idea to make an extremely addictive rhythm game called Tap Tap Revenge. Tapping blinking lights on a screen to catch tunes isn’t exactly the same as rocking out on plastic guitars and drum pads, but it’s still highly addictive. And Tap Tap Revenge is so popular it’s even offering the option to download new tracks to tap to, similar to Guitar Hero and Rock Band’s music stores.

2. Pandora

Whoa whoa whoa — free downloaded music on a portable device? Naw, really. Pandora’s alternative music distribution made this happen, and the app is cool as hell on the iPhone. This apps will play that artist’s music as well as similar tunes you might like and you can add a station for any artist you like. What better way to find new music with the wealth of new bands out there?

1. Google Earth

When Steve Jobs called the iPhone “Your life in your pocket,” he probably didn’t expect Google to deliver the world in your pocket. Well, virtually. Displaying satellite imagery around the world in a 3-D globe, Google Earth is one of the most intense, mindblowing apps that truly shows off the powers of the iPhone. If you want to impress your grandmother with a demonstration of just how far technology has come since she was a girl, this ought to do the trick.

There are so many more apps for your iPhone available if you want to pay for each one individually. Or, you could download unlimited iPhone apps and pay only one low fee. This is the secret Steve and the greedy ones at Apple don’t want you to know about. You can thank me now.  Check out unlimited iPhone apps here, you will not be disappointed

Finding Old Classmates with the Help of Reverse Phone Lookup Websites

Mobile | Sunday July 26 2009 3:40 am | Comments (0)

Have you been wondering how to get in touch with an old school friend? If so, you may well be able to reconnect with your long lost pal using a reverse cell number search service.

In many cases, searching for someone using their old phone number is easier than trying to look them up by name!

Researching by Phone Number

Finding those old school chums when you only have an old phone number to go on is actually much less challenging than you might assume. As long as you have an account with a reverse telephone lookup service, all you need to do is to enter their phone number to run a search.

With nothing more than a no longer current phone number, reverse lookup services can typically find not only your old friends new telephone number, but also their address and name (if they have married). This is all the information you’ll need to get back in touch with your long lost classmates.

Additional Benefits of Performing a Reverse Phone Lookup

A reverse phone lookup service has many uses besides trying to reconnect with old friends and classmates.

Let’s say you’re looking through the classifieds when you spot an ad which interests you. If there’s a phone number included in the ad, running a reverse phone lookup on this number can tell you the name and location of the person who posted the ad.

Reverse telephone lookups are also beneficial if you are receiving prank telephone calls. By looking up the number of the person that is calling you, you can identify who the individual is so you can put an end to the annoying calls.

Furthermore, if you get a phone call while you are not home or you just don’t reach the phone in time, you can look up the number in order to find out whose call you missed and whether or not you should give them a return call.

Selecting the Best Service

There are a lot of websites which provide reverse phone lookup services. Of course, not all of these sites are equally useful. Some offer very large databases, while others have only very limited information available.

The best services to use are those who can offer a comprehensive database which includes landline numbers and cell phone numbers.

There are also some free reverse lookup sites out there. While the price is certainly tempting, these sites provide very limited information and are not a good source for cell phone numbers.

To get the best possible reverse telephone lookup services, you’re best going with one of the commercial providers. These sites can give you more information on more numbers; which is exactly what you want in a reverse phone lookup service.

After setting up an account with a reverse phone lookup service, you’ll probably find so many uses for it that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it! You can stop prank calls, get in touch with old friends and much more when you have access to a reverse phone lookup service.

Phone Number Research Made Easy With Reverse Lookup

Mobile | Saturday July 25 2009 5:34 am | Comments (0)

It’s a situation we all find ourselves in sometimes. You’re in the other room and can’t get to the phone in time to answer. Maybe you’re out running errands and return to find a number you don’t recognize on your caller ID.

You probably want to know who called you and why. You might want to return this call; or be glad that you missed it – but without being able to find out who called, you’ll never know! If you’d like to stop guessing who your mystery callers are, you’ll want to get a membership with a reverse cellphone search service. This allows you to look into any phone number you like and find out who was on the other end of the line in a matter of seconds.

Reverse Lookup Is The Easy Way To Search Phone Numbers

It used to be next to impossible to look up a caller by phone number. However, new technologies have made performing reverse searches on phone numbers a simple task. As long as you have a large enough database of numbers and information, you’ll be able to find any number you like.

Although searching for a person’s name and address with only that person’s telephone number should be a relatively easy process, there are many services on the Web that don’t maintain thorough databases.

If you want to get results when you perform a reverse phone number search, you’ll want to deal with a company which maintains a comprehensive database containing landline and cell phone numbers from across the country.

Beware Of Fakers

There is one thing to remember as you perform reverse telephone number lookups. This is that it is now possible to make it appear as if a call is coming from a different number than where it really originates. Callers can actually make their calls seem as if they are coming from any number of their choice!

There are a few different reasons why people decide to use this kind of technology. For example, prank callers hide their phone numbers to prevent reprisals and protect their identity.

In addition, some companies may purposely alter their telephone numbers so it appears as if the call you are receiving is from a local company rather than one from another state or country. Unfortunately, this simple little trick might also be used by con artists that are trying to steal your identity or otherwise rip you off.

Although Congress is trying to create laws that will make it illegal to utilize caller ID changing technology in order to defraud other people, there are no plans to remove this type of technology from the market. Therefore, keep this in mind when researching phone numbers that appear on your caller ID.

By and large people don’t try to conceal their phone numbers. This means that in general, you can count on the information retrieved by your reverse cellphone search service is accurate.

Limitations of Apple’s iPhone

Mobile | Wednesday July 22 2009 3:05 pm | Comments (0)

The Apple iPhone has become one of the most popular products in recent years but there are some limitations to the iPhone.

The Apple iPhone has a 2.75G quad-band GSM capability, its text and email services and Wi-Fi services, but it is far from perfect.iPhone does have its limitations. Not only do Apple keep us from using certain features, they also minimize on iPhone customization in many instances. These problems should be resolved very soon in the near future though.

No custom ringtones

One of the biggest limitations that the iPhone has is that the product does not allow for any custom ringtones to be used.It is ironic that the iPhone can save several hundreds of mp3 files in its 4, 8 or 16 gigabyte hard drive but none of these files can be used for ringtones at all.  Only the ones that are available on the phone can use them.

Apple had in fact set it up that you should pay through iTunes store in order to get customized ring tones which I am really not happy about.  And, most other solutions need you to fork out that extra cash to download a software for such customization. I find that to customized the iPhone, it is a major disadvantage.

Camera on the iPhone

The camera on the iPhone is a strong one, as it has two megapixels of picture quality. While pictures can be taken for sending to people or for iPhone customization there is a significant limitation to the camera. If you check, you will find that there is no near future plan by Apple to upgrade the iPhone picture quality.

As far as I know, it does not record video. The 4, 8 or 16 gigabyte hard drive could be a major factor in this as storing one’s video files could easily take up a great amount of phone space in no time.

Limited Flash support

Flash is used on many popular websites, including hot video sites like Google Video and Youtube. There is limited Flash support on the iPhone though. It makes it difficult to surf certain sites on the Internet as a result. The iPhone may have some problems with websites utilizing Flash, and I wish Apple will quickly come out with a fix for this problem.

Difficulty to write

The last of the limitations of the iPhone is that of the difficultly in writing things at times. The iPhone has a touch screen feature and it can be tough to write things on the iPhone with speed. For instance, although you are provided with a virtual keyboard on the iPhone, users have to access another menu to enter special characters like commas, and other punctuation marks. While the touch screen is great and is incredibly responsive to what one enters on it this is a problem that makes it harder to write things. With the great sales that the iPhone has gotten in recent months the iPhone limits have been discovered too. Nevertheless, I am hoping in the future that Apple would have corrected these problems listed here and newer iPhone models would have these features.
