Cell Phone

Have you ever needed to find out the details behind a phone number? Nowadays, you can get access to extremely large databases of private information through a reverse cell phone lookup service. These services provide you with advanced search opportunities that are not available to the general public. Because of advancements in modern technology, you will have the ability to find detailed information that has been hiding under cell phone numbers.

One way you can easily find out who is calling - simply call the number and ask. However, this may not be the best plan. First, perhaps the party is harmless, a family member or old friend. Wouldn’t you be embarrassed if you made such a call and it turns out the person posed no threat to you or your relationship?.

Here is a better plan: use an internet-based reverse phone finder to find out who is calling. Most of these services have pretty good results finding what you are looking for. I have tried several of them, and it is just amazing how much information they have.

Yes, it is an investment even though the service is only a very minimal fee when compared to all the functionality you receive. Just remember, if you decide to go on another search for a free reverse number lookup, you will be disappointed. This is simply because you have been deceived.

Many people think that to find a cell phone number you can just look up a cell phone directory buy very few are successful - most of the free services just don’t have accurate information. Most ‘land’ phone lines are considered part of the public domain. Most land home phone numbers are published in various phone directories so all can use them. Cell phone numbers are not considered part of the public domain so you need a reverse phone finder service to look them up.

Pay phones are also hard to track down - they are not counted as a residential number by most phone companies. Again, you’ll need a reverse phone finder service to get pay phone numbers. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. Most free services just don’t have all of the data you need to look up the number you may need.

Are You Able to Live Without Your Cellphone?

Mobile | Sunday August 30 2009 6:35 am | Comments (0)

Okay, that could be a little bit of an exaggeration but really, many people just can’t go through their days without having their handy and trustworthy cellphones close by.  How many people do you know who get all agitated and restless for the simple reason that they left their trusty cellphones at home?  They get alarmed, they feel perturbed and their day is just basically ruined because their mobile phones are not nearyby.

This kind of burden – if you can call it that – affects a majority of people from across the globe, regardless of age, sex, culture or those belonging to any other demographic profile.

Before there were cellphones, there were pagers; before there were beepers, there were just the usual telephone lines; and before there were telephone lines, people communicated through telegraph and mails sent by post.

The most important benefit of cellphones of course is that they have made communications anywhere in the world so quick that no matter the distance, people somehow managed to stay in each other’s lives – keeping up-to-date with the latest events and basically just being in the loop.

Before cellphones came, everyone had to wait for days, even weeks to trade news via snail mail.  Sure, one can always make a call but if someone is thousands of miles away; long distance phone calls can be pretty expensive.

Thanks to the cellphone technology, people get to trade messages no matter how far away they are from one another via SMS or Short Messaging System/Short Message Service – text messaging in more popular terms.

Nowadays however, cellular phones have gone far beyond text messaging and phone calls.  One after the other, special features have been added to the regular cellular phone to be able to give more services to the users.

From phone calls and text messaging, camera features were added and then music players followed; internet capability soon followed suit; Wi-Fi came after; and then online chatting; sending and receiving electronic mails plus other online applications were all thrown in for good measure.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can now also view your favorite videos and movies; and likewise watch your favorite TV shows.  Suffice it to say, cellular phones have developed from mere communications gadgets to total entertainment packages in a small and very compact portable box.

If you want, you can read a lot more about cellphones online. You might for example go and visit the site Mobiltelefoner to learn about the most modern cellphones and the amazing stuff they can do for you.

Answers to Common Questions About Free Reverse Cell Phone Directories

Mobile | Friday August 28 2009 4:12 pm | Comments (0)

Understanding what a Reverse Cell Phone Directory is and how it works is beneficial to conduct a successful reverse phone lookup. Read below for the FAQ about reverse phone number directories.

QUESTION: Does a free reverse cell phone directory exist somewhere on the Internet?

ANSWER: No. Because consumers like you and me do not want to lose the anonymity that mobile phones provide, cell numbers are not freely available to the public. So unlike a whitepages directory where you can easily find residential landline numbers, there is not a similar free whitepages directory for mobile numbers.

QUESTION: What’s the difference between residential landline phone numbers and mobile numbers?

ANSWER: How cell phone and landline information is classified is the difference. Residential telephone numbers, for years, have been available to the public. (Keep in mind that if you want your home telephone number unlisted, you have to pay your telephone company extra!)

Cell phones have always been considered more private than residential telephones, especially considering that even when you receive a call on your mobile phone you have to use your minutes whether or not you really want to talk to the caller. To avoid unwanted cell phone calls (eg telemarketers!), the industry protects consumer privacy and therefore cell phone numbers are harder to obtain.

While it may seem like a free reverse cell phone directory would be a convenience to everyone, in reality, it would most likely cause grief for all of us who would be annoyed with unwanted calls. The bottom line is that when people receive a call on their cellular phones, they have an expectation that the call is important.

QUESTION: Why can’t the reverse phone directory companies offer the service for free?

ANSWER: Companies that compile and maintain a reverse cell phone directory invest a great deal of time and effort because the information has to be compiled manually and updated regularly. Because there needs to be an effective way to maintain a level of consumer privacy and because there is a cost involved in assembling a database with hundreds of millions of records, no company can offer the service for free.

The key is to find a reverse cell phone lookup directory with a complete database and a money-back satisfaction guarantee. In other words, if your report does not provide you the needed name and address information, your money will be refunded. To view a directory side-by-side comparison chart, click here for reviews of reverse phone number directories.

QUESTION: How do I begin a reverse cell phone number search?

ANSWER: By just looking at a phone number, you cannot tell if it belongs to a mobile phone or not. Because of this, make sure you do the following first. Type the phone number into your search engine of choice (eg Google, Yahoo, MSN) and click search!

This is a critical step because if it is a landline number, it will most likely be in the public domain, and you will get your information instantly and for free! If you are lucky enough to get results, then your search can stop there.

But if you cannot obtain the information you need after this step, you can bet that the number is either an unlisted number or a mobile phone number. Then you will need to use a different approach and use a reverse cell phone directory to search further. Click here to begin a  reverse phone number lookup now and begin your search today!

Free Pay As You Go Simcards Can Be Ordered Online

Mobile | Wednesday August 26 2009 4:42 pm | Comments (0)

Free simcards are extremely popular amongst mobile phone customers. One of the biggest advantages is that they provide a quick and easy transition from contracts that cost the customer on a regular basis. prepay sims are the least restrictive option for users in payment terms, as there is no requirement at all to pay out every 30 days. We’ll examine the tariffs on offer:

Orange Free Simcards

Orange provide four key categories to their pay as you talk offering - Dolphin, Canary, Racoon and Camel.

Dolphin is targeted at text users - with extra texts available.

Canary is great for off peak phone calls (evenings and weekends).

Racoon is the option for on and off peak (all day) calls.

Camel provides competitive overseas call and text pricing.

For more info about the Orange prepay propostition, see Orange PAYG sims.

o2 Free Simcards

o2, like Orange, offer multiple choices depending on your mobile usage patterns:

Favourite Place gives extra call minutes from a specific place, for example where you work.

Talkalotmore is designed for evening and weekend callers.

Text Anytime as the name suggests is great for sending sms messages.

o2 Unlimited at the time of writing is the flagship option, with unlimited calls and messages to other o2 phones.

Your Country is the last tariff, specialising in calling overseas.

To get more specific information about rates and allowances, check out o2 prepay sims.

It’s also worth considering sim only contracts if you are a regular phone user. Although it does still technically mean signing up for a contract, they can typically be cancelled after thirty days, and a month can cost as little as a tenner. In other words, if you top up by a tenner or more a month this is probably the right option for your needs. All the big networks now offer packages of this nature, and there’s plenty of help scattered across the web - a great comparision table is displayed on this site.

iPhone texting capabilities

Mobile | Tuesday August 25 2009 4:04 pm | Comments (0)

For those that own an iPhone you already know about some of it’s incredible features. If you are still deciding whether or not you really want an iPhone, or maybe if you need one you need to really check out the incredible amount of features the iPhone really has to offer.

This might even seem a little overwhelming at first when you start checking into what comes with the iPhone and then after you find out the sheer number of applications, software and accessoris that are on the market now and the ones that will be available in the future.

One of the biggest problems that people have when they are texting someone with a cell phone is that they find themselves making a lot of errors due to the keypads on their cell phones. But when you are texting with an Apple iPhone, you will find that your errors and typos seem to disappear like magic.

The reason for this is that the Apple iPhone is equipped with something called an SMS application, including a Qwerty soft keyboard that is extremely intelligent.

What this does is that it seeks out the typos that you make when you are texting someone and fixes them for you. This saves you a lot of time, because you don’t have to worry about going back and fixing them yourself.

Another feature that the iPhone has when it comes to messaging that teenagers will like is the ability to send out a text message to more than one person at once. This is really handy if you are planning a get together or an important meeting.

The Apple iPhone goes above and beyond what customers are looking for when it comes to texting capability, and helps them to do things quickly and efficiently.

How to get free ringtones

Mobile | Monday August 24 2009 6:11 am | Comments (0)

Once upon a time mobile phones were used purely to send and accept calls, since then knowledge has evolved so much new phones are almost unrecognisable from the old brick style phones with extendable aerials, the new iphone for example has an mp3 player, camera has a crystal clear display in fact it would be easy to forget its a cell phone as well. Phones can not only be practical but can be fun as well, they can now hold games, surf the internet and of course ringtones.

A ringtone is a sound your mobile can play when you get an received call or message, this can range from an alien zapper to a conventional tune, most people go for up to date chart ring tones but the range and choice is much wider, you can get ringtones for every occasion. A ringtone is the name given to a sound that alerts you when a mobile phone receives an incoming call or message. On most modern phones these ringtones can be easily personalized and you can have a another tone for every caller and occasion. In fact part of the fun of customizable ringtones is the ability to be able to change them at will

Getting ringtones on your phone can be achieved in many ways, You can often get them though your mobile dealer but they will charge you for the privilege, some of these involve you getting sent new ringtones on a recurring basis, but the charges can prove expensive. As a result most people prefer to download free ringtones from the internet. There are many sites which provide ringtones for mobile phones be careful as some sites will charge but there are lots of sites out there from which you can simply download ringtones free of charge. There are 3 main type of ringtones you can download.

- Monophonic. This ringtone type can only play a single note at a time (hence mono) this gives you the impression of the tune but is not that realistic
- Polyphonic. Polyphonic ringtones can play multiple notes at once, this give a more natural like sound and will sound more like an original track
- Truetone. These are normally cutdown  versions of a song normally in mp3 format

The best site I have found for free downloadable ringtones is http://www.ringtones4all.com, here you will find mono and polyphonic ringtones, available in a large range of formats there is also logos, themes and wallpapers. The is a fantastic selection of ringtones to choose from.

The ability to change your ringtone is a feature of all modern cell phones. The more sophisticated the phone the better the ringtone you can normally get.

Obtaining Cheap Calls

Mobile | Saturday August 22 2009 10:07 pm | Comments (0)

I am fairly sure that the majority of people would be looking to save some cash during these tough economic times. One such cost cutting measure can be made by obtaining a cheaper telephone call service. These are becoming ever more popular these days as people become aware of just how much money they are being over-charged on a monthly basis; in a recession this is money that a person can ill afford to waste.

Now virtually of us love a good gossip on the telephone. Up until a few years ago I was actually a person who really did not like speaking on the telephone. This was because I had a speech impediment, commonly known as stammering.

The stuttering would, for whatever reason, become even more severe when I spoke on the phone therefore I avoided using this form of communication at all cost. I am now extremely proud to report that I have managed to “stop stuttering” completely and to achieve fluency. It was far from easy and took a massive amount of effort however the rewards are huge, it feels so good to be able to talk free from any fear of stumbling or stammering on a word. I am now seemingly never off the phone, making the most of my new found fluency! I am therefore in real need to obtain the lowest call rates possible, as long as the quality is not affected of course.

So where can a person go to obtain these cheaper phone calls? Well there are specialist companies that deal in just this; experts in enabling you to receive cheap calls. Just by conducting a simple search on one of the major search engines such as Google for key phrases such as “cheap calls”, “cheaper phone calls” or “cheaper call rates” will no doubt help you to locate a number of expert companies within this growing business sector.

I wish you every success in your quest to obtain cheaper phone calls. By following the above free tips should help you to achieve this; after all they have helped many other people to be able to have lower mobile telephone bills each quarter.

Registering with the national do not call list is probably what you are thinking to solve the problem, and while many people think this will solve their problem, the truth is, it won’t.” While this may sound ideal and even effective, truth is, it is not. Many of these companies which make these types of calls, are rogue, telemarketers which try to intimidate those who answer into buying their products through aggressive telemarketing campaigns. If they know your phone number, how many other things do they know that you don’t want them to?

Multifunction laser printing on a budget

Shopping | Thursday August 20 2009 10:52 pm | Comments (0)

Multifunction colour laser printers are something that have always been out of reach of the small business and home users but the Samsung CLX-2160 looks to have changed all that. Just because you can afford to buy it doesn’t necessary mean that you will be able for afford to run it on consumables. Samsung CLX-2160 toner cartridges are small than your average printer cartridges for a laser printer and they are reasonably priced. The real cost however can be found in the cost per page for which the CLX-2160 consumables work out at a cost of 2p per sheet for black printing and almost 10p per sheet when printing colour. This is quiet expensive for your average laser printer but not so much more that it make it unsuitable for the users it is designed for. There are also remanufactured Samsung toner cartridges available for the CLX-2160 and these can reduce the running cots of the printer considerable as they cost on average half the price of the original OEM products.

Print quality produced by the CLX-2160 is reasonable for both black and colour prints and the printing speed is good for black (16 pages per minute) but a little slower for colour (4ppm) but this is expected as the CLX-2160 uses a single imaging drum for each colour which is a reason why its so cheap. The CLX-2160 isn’t designed to do a high monthly print cycle and this is evident in a number of areas such as the paper tray which has a small 1500 sheet capacity. The overall build quality of the printer is very good and everything feels solid. Samsung has done a good job of packing so much into such a small chassis and offering it at a very reasonable price.
